A detailed pen & ink sketch was done. Just to get to this stage was very complex since the DFS Galleria in Guam wraps around a curve which is about two or three blocks in length. I photographed the entire length during the day. I also captured some of the light effects at night time using a tri-pod. In addition, this painting was suppose to show how the building will look after the exterior renovation which hasn't even been completed yet. Needless to say, a bit of artistic license was used to even get this many stores into one painting. The new store designs were given to me in elevation architectural drawings provided by the client. This sketch was scanned and e-mailed to the client for approval of the basic design elements. |
