| At this stage I expanded more of the colors to the mid-tones as well. The sidewalk in front of the Galleria was blocked in with Burnt Sienna and Quinacridone Gold gold. I wanted to define all the details and reflections from the building onto the wet street early on in the painting again to capture the light and not losing these areas by covering them in dark colors. The greens in the street Islands were dropped in using Hookers Green, Phthalo Green and Phthalo Blue. Since the foreground and sky are essentially the darkest darks, these elements will be blocked in later using big brushes. |
