Pacific Islands Club Mural, 2004

60 ft. X 8 ft.

Airbrush and hand painted in acrylics

"Pacific Island Club Resort in Saipan commissioned this mural for the Kid's Club wall. The only brief they gave me was that it needed to be Island theme. That opened the door to a lot of possibilities. Since most of PIC's activities revolve around watersports I decided to go with a overwater / underwater scene. I presented the client with a color sketch that was scaled 1 inch to 1 foot. After a go was given I transferred the drawing to the wall using the grid technique. I then painted the entire wall with a sky blue using a roller except for the different objects. I then went in with an spray gun adding all the sky and water tonal transitions and wispy clouds with transparent layers of color. After this I did all the detail work on the figures and reef using the spray gun and finished off with hand painting."

"I thought I would add a little space art to my studio bathroom door. My cat approved of my work."

"Relaxing Euro Style" 2002

"This trompe l'oeil mural was commissioned by Tim Somers of Encino, CA. The old cobblestone patio invites the viewer into another relaxing world away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The wooden dock leads the eye and forces the perspective farther back toward the boat, cliffs and warm setting sun. All the elements except the sail boat were from my imagination."
